Back to the Bush Festival Launch
It’s time to celebrate!
Celebrate our town, our district, our people, our way of life. The Miles District, in Queensland’s Western Downs region, invite you to help us celebrate all that we value about living in the bush during our Back to the Bush Festival, 4-9 September 2018. The festival begins in the most stunning location—our iconic Dogwood Crossing, Miles. Our art gallery will be open for you to view Looking Forward, Looking Back exhibition: a showcase of artworks featuring our district’s extraordinarily talented artists.
Our Mayor Paul McVeigh will officially open the festival and invite you stroll by the light of vintage style lanterns and to the tunes of bush balladeers a short distance to our famous Miles Historical Village and Museum. There, you will be welcome to stay for a country cooked meal and vintage radio style drama under our spectacular open skies. A perfect way to begin a weekend full of an eclectic mix of authentic and interactive bush experiences.
