Storytime at Chinchilla

By: | Tags: , , , , | Comments: 0

Storytime for Toddlers is held at the Chinchilla Library every Friday, from 10.15am. But from Friday 1 February, we are changing our start time to 9.30am! Of course reading occurs each Storytime, and the books are carefully selected to reflect the interests and ages of the children that we expect to attend. But it’s the value-adding components that make our Storytime sessions so special – singing songs and nursery rhymes, playing with scarves and parachutes, using […]

Combat loss of reading achievement

By: | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , | Comments: 0

Experts call it the “summer slide,” where children lose up to two months of reading achievement over the Christmas holidays? Your local Library has the solution. We have Emergent readers, Beginner readers and Early readers that are high interest and cover lots of topics.
