Drone Coding: Search and Rescue

By: | Tags: , , , , | Comments: 0

National Science Week is coming up and STEM Punks are on their way to Western Downs Libraries.

STEM Punks will be holding a series of FREE drone coding workshops at libraries and schools around the region in August. Kids will learn about block based coding and how to program a drone to complete a search and rescue mission!

Special guest Dr Serena Lee will also be visiting Dalby Library on Saturday 10 August. Dr Lee is a Physical Oceanographer who uses drones in her research. Dr Lee will be presenting in between drone coding workshops, and you won’t want to miss her visit.

Parents and guardians; coding is more fun with friends! We’d encourage you to join in with your child on all the search and rescue coding fun! Introduce your kids to the wonders of STEAM and watch them soar.
