Every year on 22 May a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is simultaneously read in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. This year the wonderful book Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove has been chosen.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

Branches across the Western Downs will be celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime with a bang. Special guest story readers will be attending selected events, plus, there will be craft activities and songs to sing.

Reserve your copy of Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove at your local branch.
