Western Downs Libraries are Going Paperless!

That’s right – Western Downs Libraries are taking steps to be more environmentally sustainable and Earth conscious by reducing our paper-based communication. From 31 July, communication from your library will no longer be sent by mail. Instead, you will receive reminders in real-time via email – how great is that?


To make sure your correct email address is listed, log on to westerndowns.spydus.com and do the following:

  1. Login using your Borrower ID and Password
  2. From here, your My Account information will be displayed
  3.  To check if your contact information is correct, read through the My Details section by clicking on the arrow on the left side of the screen.
  4. To update your email address click on the dropdown arrow under Summary on the main page and choose Personal Details
  5. Scroll down to Contact Details and change your email address.
  6. Click Update when you’re finished.

If you are visiting from a desktop, follow these steps:

  1. Login using your Borrower ID and Password
  2. On the right side of the page, under My Library, click on My Account
  3.  To check if your contact information is correct, read through the My Details section on the left side of the screen.
  4. To update your email address, click on Personal Details at the top of the screen and scroll down to Contact Details.
  5. Click Update when you’re finished.
