Storytime at Chinchilla

By: | Tags: , , | Comments: 0

Storytime for Toddlers will be taking a break over the school holidays. Join us again on Friday 20 July  at 10.15am, when we will be reading, singing and learning about lots of different vehicles.

However, Yoga Storytime will be continuing throughout the holidays! Come along every Tuesday at 10.15am. Older siblings are more than welcome to join in too!

Also, keep an eye out for our Storytime for Bubs, which will be starting up soon.

Every Storytime session is made up of four components – read, talk, play and sing. Of course reading occurs each Storytime, and the books are carefully selected to reflect the interests and ages of the children that we expect to attend. But it’s the value-adding components that make our Storytime sessions so special – singing songs and nursery rhymes, playing with scarves and parachutes, using props and puppets, experimenting with sensory activities and making crafts.

Parents, grandparents, carers and friends are very welcome.

Storytime for Toddlers is aimed at ages 2-3, however everyone is welcome.

These sessions are fun, free, and delivered by trained staff!

Why is Storytime important?

Did you know that up to 90% of a child’s brain development happens in the first 5 years? Research is now telling us that when babies and children get what they need – it can have a lasting effect on their future. Sharing stories, rhymes, singing, talking and playing with your child from birth builds a foundation for your child’s future development that can last a lifetime.

It’s never to early to Read, Talk, Play, Sing!
