Grandparents and Dads are invited to be our special guests at Storytime during August!
In conjunction with Seniors Month we would like to invite grandparents to Storytime for the entire month of August. We also invite all Dads, Stepdads and Father-figures to come along for our Father’s Day Storytime.
- 3 August – “Car, car, truck, jeep” by Katrina Charman
- 10 August – “Wilfred Gordon McDonald Patridge” by Mem Fox. (Special Grandparents’ Storytime)
- 17 August – “Scribble” by Ruth Ohi
- 24 August – “When I’m older” by Isa and Neil Flory
- 31 August – Father’s Day Storytime
Every Storytime session is made up of four components – read, talk, play and sing. Of course reading occurs each Storytime, and the books are carefully selected to reflect the interests and ages of the children that we expect to attend. But it’s the value-adding components that make our Storytime sessions so special – singing songs and nursery rhymes, playing with scarves and parachutes, using props and puppets, experimenting with sensory activities and making crafts.
Storytime for Toddlers is aimed at ages 1-3, however everyone is welcome. Storytime is held at the Chinchilla Library every Friday, from 10.15am.
These sessions are fun, free, and delivered by trained staff!
