Storytime is held at Chinchilla Library at 9.30am every Friday. There are lots of exciting things happening over the next few weeks!
Our upcoming sessions:
5 July – Storytime in the Parklands
12 July – Dreamtime Storytime with a special guest, local Indigenous elder Aunty Rose
Don’t forget Storytime for Toddlers will continue throughout the school holidays!
Our Storytime sessions are made up of four components – read, talk, play and sing. Of course reading occurs each Storytime, and the books are carefully selected to reflect the interests and ages of the children that we expect to attend. But it’s the value-adding components that make our Storytime sessions so special – singing songs and nursery rhymes, playing with scarves and parachutes, using props and puppets, experimenting with sensory activities and making crafts.
Storytime for Toddlers is aimed at ages 1-3, however everyone is welcome.
These sessions are fun, free, and delivered by trained staff!
