Storytime for Kids

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

Read, talk, play – Any time, any day.

Allow your child to continue their lifelong love affair with learning at one of our nine branch Storytime sessions:

Bell Library

Chinchilla Library

Dalby Library

Jandowae Library

Meandarra Library

Miles Library

Tara Library

Wandoan Library

Storytime for Kids is best suited to children aged 3-5 years, but all are welcome.

With funding through the State Government’s First Five Forever initiative, we’ve been able to put a concerted effort into research and development of this early literacy program. All our Storytime for Kids sessions are carefully planned and delivered by specially trained staff to encourage your child’s development and early literacy skills in ways that best suit them, to achieve school readiness. Sessions are underpinned by State Library of Queensland’s Early Literacy Framework and include stories, songs, interactive games and activities.

We can also bring Storytime to you! Please contact your local branch if you are interested in having us visit your Daycare Centre, Playgroup, Kindy or School.

PLEASE NOTE: We love taking snaps of your happy little ones during these sessions. Sometimes these are used in Library advertising or publications, but we will always ask your permission first. Parents or carers who would prefer photographs not be released, please let us know and Library staff will ensure those photographs are deleted and not used.

For more information, contact 1300 COUNCIL, send us an email, or follow us on Facebook.

Did you know we also offer Storytime for Bubs, Toddlers and Yoga Storytime? Click here for details of Storytime sessions at our other branches.
