Author Victoria Purman comes to Dalby

Dalby library is in for a special treat this May when popular Australian author Victoria Purman will stop by for an author talk as part of her national tour for her latest novel The Land Girls.

The Land Girls is a moving story of love, loss and survival against the odds during the Second World War. It follows the experiences of three girls, Flora, Betty and Lilian, in the Australian Women’s Land Army in regional Victoria as they embrace their new roles and experience a kind of liberation from their old lives.

Victoria is a regular guest at writers festivals, a mentor and workshop presenter. Victoria has been nominated for a number of readers’ choice awards and was a judge in the fiction category for the 2018 Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature

The talk will be held on Thursday 23 May at 6pm at Dalby Library.
