Storytime for Hearts and Minds

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

At Storytime for Hearts and Minds, kids will learn about the importance of breathing (an act we take for granted) in order to maintain a calm heart. With calm happy hearts, children will learn how to focus better, become good listeners, and be more successful in school. Through stories, stretching, singing, meditation, and sometimes even a little bit of dancing, kids will be given the tools to develop and maintain a healthy and peaceful lifestyle.

Storytime for Hearts and Minds takes place, from 3.30–4.30pm on TUESDAYS, with our amazing instructor Liz Forbes.

Stories featured in Storytime for Hearts and Minds will focus on emotional well-being with weekly themes such as friendship, manners, thoughtfulness, and kindness, and is suitable for the whole family.

Mums and Dads why don’t you try it too? It’s a great opportunity to do something fun and stress-free with your children.

Dalby Library’s Early Literacy program also includes Storytime for Bubs every Tuesday at 9am, and Storytime for Toddlers every Tuesday at 10.30am. Want us to visit your kindy, playgroup or school? Check out our Storytime for Kids outreach program for more details!
