Kokedama Workshop

This week Tara Library played host to a Kokedama Workshop for adults.

Well, what can we say!? The smiles, the laughter and the results of the Kokedama Workshop – we think speak for themselves!
You might be asking yourself, “What is Kokedama?”.  Basically, it is wrapping a plant’s root system in moss and binding it with string. Ultimately doing away with the pot! Decorating with indoor plants is trending and you can turn any of your favourite plants into a hanging kokedama creation! The attendees had an enjoyable evening filled with fun and even some learning.

Keep a look out on the Western Downs Library’s webpage for upcoming events and be sure to book in early to prevent disappointment.

This book is for readers who would like to bring bits of nature into their own homes. The featured projects provide inspiration and demonstrate how these systems can be constructed and maintained with very little space or effort.
