May is a wonderful month - full of perfect weather, a public holiday and Mother's Day celebrations. National Simultaneous Storytime is held throughout the region which gives us a reason to celebrate books and stories in our lives.

Books can teach us, move us, give us new perspectives, and help shape us. And the most powerful ones change our lives forever. Here are some of the most popular books that are available for loan or simply reserve a copy at your nearest Western Downs Libraries branch.

1  Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman

2 Still Me by Jojo Moyes

I've Got My Eyes On You by Mary Higgins Clark

4 Accidental Heroes by Danielle Steel

5 The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn

6. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
